Terms of use

Effective 2026-08-12. These terms govern your use of celermerchants.com. They are not a merchant agreement and they do not create a payment processing relationship.

1. Who we are and what we do

CELER Merchants is an independent merchant services agent and referral partner. We are not a bank, a payment processor, an acquirer or a money services business. We do not hold, transmit or settle funds.

Our role is to review your current payment costs, obtain competing offers from payment providers, present those offers, assist with account setup and equipment, and support the relationship afterwards. Any merchant account you open is a contract between you and the provider that issues it. That provider underwrites, approves, prices, funds and settles the account, and its agreement — not this page — governs your processing.

2. How we are compensated (referral disclosure)

We charge you nothing. We are compensated by the payment provider you select, generally as a share of the processing margin on your account, paid periodically for as long as the account remains active. Compensation arrangements differ between providers.

We will disclose the nature of our compensation arrangement on your account on request. Because we are compensated on a comparable basis regardless of which provider you select, we do not receive a financial incentive to steer you to a particular provider — but you should read this disclosure and make your own assessment.

We do not receive commissions on equipment leases, and we do not place non-cancellable long-term equipment leases.

3. Not advice

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting, financial or regulatory advice. Content about surcharging, dual pricing, PCI DSS, privacy law, trust accounting and consumer protection is general information that changes by jurisdiction and over time. Verify current requirements for your state or province with qualified counsel before acting.

4. Estimates, benchmarks and examples

  • The savings calculator produces an illustrative projection from figures you enter. It does not know your card mix, average ticket, industry risk profile or current fee schedule.
  • Benchmark ranges, effective-rate tables and industry statistics are observations drawn from statements we review. They are not promises, and your result may fall outside them.
  • Case studies shown on this site are composites illustrating patterns we encounter, unless expressly attributed to a named client with their permission.
  • Testimonials are published only with the reviewer's permission. Any placeholder content remaining on this site is clearly labelled as such and does not represent a real client.

No content on this site is an offer of pricing. Pricing is quoted only after review of your statements and is subject to provider underwriting and approval.

5. The free statement analysis

  • The analysis is free, carries no obligation, and is yours to keep whether or not you proceed.
  • It is our professional opinion based solely on the documents you provide. An incomplete statement produces an incomplete analysis.
  • We do not contact your existing provider without your written instruction.
  • You are responsible for redacting anything you do not wish to send. Do not send full card numbers; we neither need nor want them.

6. Exit fee reimbursement program

Where offered, reimbursement of documented early-termination fees up to $1,000 is subject to all of the following: the fee is evidenced by a final statement or written notice from your prior provider; your new account is live and processing; reimbursement is issued after your first full processing month; and the account remains open at the time of reimbursement. The program does not cover equipment leases, unpaid processing fees, or amounts owed for goods or services.

7. Acceptable use of this website

You agree not to: scrape, crawl at a rate that burdens the service, or reproduce substantial portions of this site; reverse engineer or interfere with it; submit false or misleading information through its forms; use it to transmit malware; or use it in breach of applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

Site content, structure, wording and design are owned by CELER Merchants and protected by copyright. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Third-party marks — including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Interac, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Clover, PAX, Verifone, Ingenico, QuickBooks, Xero and Shopify — belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only. No affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement is implied.

9. Third-party sites and services

We link to provider portals, review platforms and mapping services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing or practices.

10. Disclaimers

This website is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any estimate shown will match your actual result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CELER Merchants is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to CAD $100 or the minimum permitted by applicable law, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law — including, in Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CELER Merchants, its officers, employees and agents against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

13. Governing law and disputes

For users in the United States, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. For users in Canada, these terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec. In each case this applies without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory law in their place of residence, including the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stands. These terms, together with our privacy policy and accessibility statement, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding this website.
